👋 Hi there! I’m Krystal.

I’m a PhD candidate in the Human-Centered Computing program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, advised by Dr. Foad Hamidi.

I am a human-centered researcher and designer studying how people engage with technology, and how the environments, programs, organizations, and support systems around it shape access and participation. My work focuses on inclusive makerspaces and technology-rich learning environments, digital fabrication, and community ecosystems for 3D-printed DIY assistive technology. Through mixed-methods research, participatory design, and community engagement, I translate human needs and systemic barriers into actionable insights, accessible experiences, and practical design guidance.
